The Woodmead Halls Management Committee is about to embark on the first phase of an exciting programme of development, designed to expand and improve the facilities that are available for the benefit of the whole community.
When the Woodmead Halls was built it was stated in the Constitution that the building belongs to all organisations in the town, and each organisation is therefore entitled to be represented on the committee whether or not they use the buildings.
In an effort to encourage greater involvement by the community in the running of the Woodmead Halls the committee is inviting up to four members from each organisation in the town to join them for a social evening at the halls on Saturday, 29th October commencing at 7.30 pm. A buffet and a glass of wine on arrival will be provided and the bar will be open. There will also be the opportunity to view the plans for the proposed extension and to learn more about future developments.
The Woodmead Halls has much to offer the town and the committee is keen to explore ways to expand the excellent facilities that are available for community use. All suggestions and ideas are most welcome.
For catering purposes those wishing to attend are asked to notify the Secretary, Gilly Warr, email: firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01297 442719.
