22 Aug Woodmead Halls re-decoration
The Woodmead Halls Management Committee has just taken on the mammoth task of re-decorating the large hall. It was previously decorated some fifteen years ago so it was time for a new look and this has largely been achieved in just two weeks, thanks to the hard work of a group of volunteers led by Chairman, Stan Williams. The team included Nick Robertson, John Evans, Jo Hopkins, Cheryl Reynolds and Gilly Warr, assisted by Jackie Hedley-Tuffs and Bill and Bev Williamson from Charmouth.
The bulk of the work is now almost complete and the hall has been completely transformed. Light colours have been applied to three walls with a darker shade on the wall surrounding the stage. The wallpaper, expertly applied by Derek Hallett fifteen years ago, has also been painted over and the hall now looks light and airy.
The Committee feels sure that the re-decorations greatly enhance the hall, and will be welcomed by its many users.
